At a very early age Collette developed a commitment to serving the elderly. From 1986 to 1994 she worked as a Nurse-Aid at Villa Providence in Shediac, a 198 beds Nursing Home. In 1994 her dream came true and became the Owner and Operator of a 45 beds Special Care Home for 17 years. After selling her home, she took on the role in 2017 of managing the day to day operation of a 130 beds Special Care Home Residence O Bons Soins in Shediac NB. Married with Donald Doucette in 1986, her high school sweetheart they have 2 boys and 2 grandchildren.
