Looking for Work in a Special Care Home?

We are very pleased that so many people, especially newcomers to New Brunswick, are interested in working in care. Our sector needs compassionate, reliable, and committed people.

However, NBSCHA is not a hiring agency and we do not employ staff.

We represent and support hundreds of independent Special Care Homes across New Brunswick. Each home is its own employer and is responsible for hiring its own staff.

If you contact us looking for a job, we will simply direct you to the homes. This page is here to help you reach the right people faster.

What Kind of Jobs Are Available?

Special Care Homes hire people in many different roles, including:

  • Personal Support Workers (PSWs)
  • • Human Service Counsellors
  • Resident attendants
  • Housekeeping staff
  • Cooks and food service workers
  • Activities and support staff

Some homes require formal training and will train the right person. Every home is different, so it is important to speak directly with the homes that interest you.

What NBSCHA Does and Does Not Do

NBSCHA cannot:

  • Collect resumes
  • Place you in a job
  • Match workers to homes
  • Decide who is hired

We support and represent the homes — the homes do the hiring.
